The current Tibetan population in Tibet and other countries combined is around 54 lakhs. Before 1959, theTibetan population used to be 63 lakhs. The occupation of red Chinese over Tibet has killed around 9 lakhs innocent Tibetan people.There are around one lakh Tibetans exiles living in India, around another one lakh in Nepal and Bhutan and around ten to twenty thousand in the United States, Canada and Europe. Almost all the Tibetans are Buddhist and His holiness The Dalai Lama is our Tibetan people Spiritual and political leader.
